Craig Murray Exposes Uzbek Government

I am listening to Craig Murray on Talk sport right at this moment and I feel truly compelled to write about it on this blog. What I am hearing is so outrageous, so shocking and so deeply deplorable that it needs to be given more publicity in order to create a much needed debate and an even greater response.

Craig Murray, for those who don’t know, was the former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan who uncovered a trail of brutish and wicked behaviour by the Government of Uzbekistan, under the depraved and dictatorial leader, Islam Karimov.

Countless numbers of our brothers and sisters in Uzbekistan have been routinely oppressed and tortured by this evil Government – they have had their finger nails pulled out, beaten and, as Craig Murray has just reported, they have even been boiled alive in oil….and for what reason? There are many answers to this – one of them being simply, they are practicing Muslims.

British and American governments have not only consistently turned a blind eye to all this oppression they have actually assisted the Uzbek government by participating in extraordinary rendition, removing those who speak out against these actions from their positions (Craig Murray from the UK Foreign Office) and by continuing to support the government monetarily and in international affairs.

I write with a weeping heart because this is yet another example of the state of the Ummah. So weak we are, so tired and so deflated and pathetic we are that we are allowing this to happen. The Ummah, it seems, is not even raising an eyebrow. It reminds me of a very famous hadith wherein the Prophet of Allah (saw) spoke of the state of the Ummah towards the end of time.

Our beloved Nabi (saw) said, “Soon a time will come upon you, when the nations will call one another against you, like a group of people sitting around a platter of food.”

The Sahabah asked, “Ya Rasulullah, will we be few in number that day?”

He (saw) replied.” No, you won’t be few in number, rather you will number MANY…BUT you will be like the floating rubbish, upon floods of water.
When such a time shall come, Allah , The Almighty, will extract your fear from the hearts of your enemies, and He, (swt), will cast Wahn into your hearts.”

The Sahabah asked, “Ya Rasulullah, what’s Wahn?”
He (saw) replied, “The Love of the dunya and the fear of death.”

However, we must remember that Allah (swt) is ever watchful of what the oppressors and wrongdoers do and He (swt) is swift in punishment.

Narrated Jabir: Allah ’s Messenger (saw) said: “Beware of oppression, for oppression will turn into excessive darkness on the Day of Resurrection; and beware of niggardliness, for niggardliness destroyed your predecessors.” (Muslim)

I request that Allah (swt) bestows on you the ability to make du’a for our brothers and sisters, not only in Uzbekistan, but all over the world (because this is truly a global issue). Allah (swt) promises to answer the dua of an oppressed person:

The Prophet (saw) said: “Be afraid of the curse of an oppressed person as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah .” (Al-Bukhari)

Allah (swt) gives an oath by His Majesty and Honour that anyone who is oppressed and invokes Him, He will grant him victory. There are three people who Allah (swt) will never reject their prayer. They are:
1) a just leader
2) a fasting person
3) someone who is oppressed

Be comforted with the words of Almighty Allah (swt) and His Rasul (saw),

Allah (swt) says:

“When people forget and transgress their boundaries, we let them do what they want. When they feel proud that which they got, we take them swiftly, we annihilate the oppressors and praise be to Allah .”

The Prophet (saw) said:

“There are two categories that I will not give intercession to on the Judgment Day. The leader who is oppressive and the other is one who is an extremist.”

Who needs enemies when we have friends like these.
