UK to start banning the Nikab?

The nikab is being banned all over the world at the moment and even the hijab is banned in some places like France, and Turkey. It was only a matter of time before the debate came to the UK and it really did last year if I recall and this topic was all over the TV, radio, newpapers and magasines. I have just read some news; it seems that we have now reached a huge turning point.

The education secretary Alan Johnson as announced that he expects head teachers to ban school children from wearing the full Muslim veil on “safety, security and teaching” grounds. He will tell headteachers that they will have the right to stop pupils covering their faces under a new uniform policy to be distributed to schools.

They are doing this through the back door! Thet are banning it because of safety gounds? How many accidents have happened due to someone wearing the nikab? I would be very interested to know where they got that statistic from.

I really think that we should be creating more Muslims girls school so that our sisters can have an education that is free from this type of harrassment. The first thing to go will be the nikab swiftly followed by the hijab…inshallah it won’t happen.

This is a time we should be makimg Du’a for the future of our sisters, mothers and daughters.
