Important Dua

When entering or leaving the house, one should recite the following du’a

 
Allaahum-ma in-nee us`aluka khairal maolaji wa khairal makhraji. Bismillaahi walajnaa wa bismillaahi kharajnaa, wa ‘alallaahi rab-banaa tawak-kalnaa.

 ”O Allah , I seek of You the good of entering and the good of leaving. In the Name of Allah we enter and in the Name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.”

When entering the masjid, one ought to recite the following du’a:

Allaahummaf-tahlee abwaaba rahmatika.

 ”O Allah , open the doors of Your Mercy for me.”

When leaving the masjid, one ought to recite the following du’aa:

  
Allaahumma in-nee us`aluka min fadlika.

 ”O Allah , I seek of You Your Grace.”
