Shaykh Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf Hafezahullah has ijazah in all sciences and in all schools of tasawwuf and has therefore more than one chain. The silsila may not be stated on every occasion of bayah however, i have provided one authentic chain for you to see in the ‘Chishti Silsila’ page.

Shaykh al Islam wa Shaykh al Hadith Mawlana Shaykh Yusuf al Motala ad-Deobandi al Hanafi al-Chisti (May Allah preserve and protect him – Hafidhullah t’ala) is among the best Scholars alive. He is a disciple of the Late Shaykh al Hadith Mawlana Muhammad Zakariyah Kandhelawi (Radhi Allahu Anhu-May Allah be pleased with him). Asalamu Alaykum,

Can the sheikh grant me ijaza to recite the Hizb ul Bahr? I know one does not necessarily require ijaza to read it, but I’ve heard, it is much more powerful if one has the ijaza.

How would I go about giving bayat to the sheikh in order for him to grant me such an ijaza? In fact, does anyone know of any other sheikh who is able to grant me such an ijaza?

I am not sure about Shaykh Yusuf Motala Saheb . As for your question about `ijaza in Hizb al-Bahr, try contacting Shaykh Nuh Ha Mim Keller or Shaykh Ninowy (of Atlanta,USA) .
