Iraq is such disaster and in such huge mess, yet news channels throughout the world fail to report on the massive humanitarian catastrophe that is currently happening in Iraq. We always hear and read about suicide bombs, we hear and read about Iraqi politics and we hear and read about insurgents and the many battles that take place, but we do not hear about the millions of people fleeing the country as refugees or about the masses of children who have been orphaned as a result of this disastrous war and we don’t hear or read about the real need for basic essentials like clean water. One reason for this is that charities have been restricted in what they are allowed to report and campaign for because Iraq is so politically sensitive and governments have applied lots pf pressure.

I have been told that Islamic Relief has remained in Iraq since the middle of the 90’s and are doing extraordinary work there to help the orphans and the poor and needy. May Allah (swt) protect and assist those who are assisting our brothers and sisters and our little ones. Amin
