I am very honoured to be able to exclusively present an excerpt of a new translation of the classic work, Jami’ al-Ulum wa’l Hikam by Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, translated by Abdussamad Clarke and soon to be published by Turath Publishing.
Jami’ al-ulum wa’l hikam is a profound commentary of 50 pivotal hadiths the form the foundation of the religion. This excerpt contains the full commentary of the hadith of niyyah (intentions), the basis of all action.
The commentary is replete with supplementary hadiths, Qur’anic ayat, and quotes from early righteous Muslims like Fudayl ibn Iyad, Ibn al-Mubarak, and many more.
