Scene from The Message of the Battle of Badr

The 17th of Ramadhan (in two days time) is a very important date in the Islamic calendar. It is a date that that signifies the strength of Islam and the sacrifice of the Muslims. It the anniversary of the most spectacular and monumental battle in the history of mankind.  The Battle of Badr.

Why is it the most spectacular and monumental battle in the history of mankind? Well, it was the and original battle between good and evil, between truth and falsehood and between the best of Mankind and the best of Angels against the worst of mankind and the worst of the shayateen. Battle of Badr Remembered

It was the first “battle of the worlds;” soldiers from the unseen worlds were riding on horse back with swords and battling along side the best of all creation, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and his companions, who were the best of men.

No Hollywood, Bollywood or Lollywood film has yet to create such a scene!

The Angel Jibreel (as), wearing a yellow turban, was leading and commanding the army of angels in the unseen world and the battle raged. Just imagine!

What a moment, what a battle, what a day!  These are the stories and events our children should be told about, these were truly great events in the history of mankind and they should be remembered, taught and celebrated.

A brothers was telling me this morning that the names of the Shuhada of Badr were all memorised in the past by the Muslims, after the names of Allah (SWT) and His Rasul were memorised.  Inshallah, I will list the names on the 17th Ramadhan.

  • The Battle of Badr is one of the few battles explicitly discussed in the Qur'an. It is mentioned by name in Sura 3:123, and shows Allah did indeed send down Angels to assist the Muslims

"Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus May ye show your gratitude. Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: "Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (Specially) sent down? "Yea, - if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels Making a terrific onslaught. Qur'an: Sura 3:123-125

    also

Jibreel (as) asked the Prophet Muhammad about those that attended the victory of Badr, "What is the position of those who attended Badr amongst you?" Oir beloved Prophet Muhammad said, "They are our best of us." Then Jibraeel said, "Likewise, the Angels that attended Badr are the best amongst the angels."

  • Salam. Pls read in full. Read Surah Ali-Imran from ayat 123-126 and Surah Al-Anfaal from 9-12. Allah swt, in war of Badr just promised to gave muslims the MILITARY of Angels just for their confidence - MILITARY was not sent to fight the wat.

Allah did help but by sending rain (for muslims be able to stand firm), made them feel drowsy (avoid fear), stike fear in kafir's hearts and an malaika came down during war (with a message) giving confidence to muslims and teaching muslims where they should hit/ strike the kafirs (at neck and fingers).

I am a muslim too and all my life learned that angels fought the war with muslims in Badr but Quran says that Allah swt only promised to give them confidence but no MILITARY help was sent. Unlike, in war or Khandak or Ahzab (read surah Al-Ahzab) Allah did sent his unseen army (mind you we dont know if these were malaikats or Allah's other creatures, so dont guess pls) - which the unseen army of Allah swt along with heavy wind/ hurricane strike the kafirs (fight war for muslims).

This was not the case in Badr. Allah did not send his military of angels. Pls read again these surahs. Pls. One good website is http://www.quranexplorer.com/quran/ where you can compare the translations from few translators like Yusuf Ali, Dr Mohin, Jalandhary and in few different languages if you dont understand arabic.

I quote here the translations from Yusuf Ali :-

    Surah Al-Anfaal ayat 9-12 :-
Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks." (9) Allah made it but a message of hope, and an assurance to your heart: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah: and Allah is exalted in power, wise. (10) Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from himself, and He caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of satan to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith. (11) Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." (12)

    Surah Ali-Imran ayat 123-126:-
Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus may ye show your gratitude. (123) Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (specially) sent down? (124) "Yea"― if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels making a terrific onslaught. (125) Allah made it but a message of hope for you; and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah, the Exalted, the Wise. (126)

See again Surah Ali Imran ayat 126 & Surah Al-Anfaal ayat 10. Allah is repeatedly mentioning that Allah made it but a message of hope. What does that means, my mulims brothers? Are we too naive to understand? Why we end up creating stories that Jibrael a.s. wear yellow turban and fought the war with muslims riding horse? Read Surah An-Najm... Allah praises Jibrael a.s. that he is a very strong angel. (surah an-najm ayat no 5). Can you imagine if Allah praise someone being strong? What would have been his strength?

Do you believe, the angel as strong as Jibrael a.s. who travels to meet Allah in (1 days of Allah equal to 50000 days of us), such strong angel, need to fight war physically wearing yellow turban, sitting on horse in war of Badr...??? Come on brothers....

Let's stop supporting these lies which are maybe initiated by jews or illitrates imagining stuffs... I will hold on to what Quran says.... nothing more, nothing less. Thanks. Wallahu-Alam.

  • Further to above, pls see surah Ali-Imran ayat 126 & Surah Al Anfaal ayat 10, from the clear translations from Dr Mohsin below: Similar meaning in traslations by Malaysians & Indonesians.

    Surah Ali-Imran ayat 126 :-
Allâh made it not but as a message of good news for you and as an assurance to your hearts. And there is no victory except from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (126)

    Surah Al-Anfaal, ayat 10 :-
Allâh made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts be at rest therewith. And there is no victory except from Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (10)

Some rubbish you writing here. In the battle of Badr & Uhud - Allah swt did promise Rasulullah saw the army but was never sent. This is the fact in Al-Quran. I just read this a few days ago myself, can remember the surah now. Allah later explains further in the surah that Allah promised because wanted to give confidence to the muslims. Also Allah did help in another manner that by making muslims in a minor state of drowziness which gave them state of calm and stike fear in the hearts and minds of the kafirs. That is the only help from Allah came in the battle of Uhud and Badr. Check these facts with Quran hafiz maulanas with knowledge known to you!!!

Those idiots have written that hazrat Jubrail a.s. along with angels came for the battle are morons and simply creating stories. I am quotings facts from Al-Quran!!

There was help of unseen army (not mentioned angles, so it could be any other creature now know to humans) was sent by Allah during the battle of Khandak or Al-Ahzab which the scenario is spelled clearly in Surah Al-Ahzab. When Allah says an unseen army aling with heavy winds, then pls dont act smart and insult Islam or Allah's words by guessing these to be for sure angles. It could be angles or any other creature which human eye can not see.
