Hashems Films: The Arrivals

I have come across this by accident and I have been thoroughly thrilled by its quality. Alhamdulillah, some very talented brothers using the name Hashem's Films have created a documentary about the end times, the arrival of Imam Mehdi, Prophet Isa (as) and Dajjal and the system that is the forerunner to the Dajjal.

I remember From The Shadows series a few years ago (they actually take portions form that series and use it) and for me, this documentary is a kind of continuation of The Shadows but the brothers explain things a little better – although there still aren't many references given to some of their claims which I found disappointing in the Shadows series. They state, for example, that the bloodlines of the leaders of the world like Barak Obama are all related to each other but never provide anythiung to qualify it with. Nevertheless, it is still a fantastic and enjoyable series which I have benefited from.

I think I have discovered it quite late in the day as part 49 (the Dajjal) has already been released on Youtube (you can see it in my Vodpod widget if you're curious enough)

Here is the Introduction to the documentary, if you like it subscribe to their YouTube Channel

    Salamalayum brothers and sisters,

I received this intersting email about the series “the Arrivals” wich prompted me to do a search and I found this blog. The following is what I received. I hope it proves beneficial and if so can be spread around:

A lot of hype in London and probably in the UK around the 51 episodes of ‘The Arrivals’. The material seems pro islam (I have not yet seen it), however, having conducted a check on the production company and visited numerous forums regarding this series it contains:

    1. Music – Unsuitable for Muslims
    2. Imagery bordering on soft porn – i dont need to say more
    3. Episode 39 includes doctrine around 12 Imams – If I am not mistaken this is a Shia slant, further having looked into the producer it seems this person is pro Shia
    4. One of the episodes alleges that Hazrath Amir Muawiya (ra) ordered the poisoning of Hazrat Hassan (ra)
    5. Episodes heavily revolve around conspiracy theory – I have seen what conspiracy theories can do to people (paranoia)

I’m sure there are more inconsistencies and incorrect facts in this series.

If you know anyone who is watching this series please tell them to stop immediately

Further, Youtube are taking these videos off their site, the watchers of this series probably think its a conspiracy that they are being taken off, but i’ll tell you why they are being removed:

    1. Music is taken from Matrix and Lord of the Rings
    2. Quotes are taken from Matrix and Lord of the Rings

    Yes thats right copyright infringement

Unfortunately there will be many people who watch this material who are not educated enough in the Quran and Sunnah to understand the rights and wrongs and will blindly be swayed by the subtle slants made above.

I personally have not and will not watch this series due to the lack of credibility. However, many persons in forums have said its a good one for non-muslims to open their eyes with.

In my personal opinion i’d say get little background knowledge before you watch ONLY because you wont other wise understand the amazing series to its maximum level.

When i say knowledge i mean Islamic because one could understand it at a much deeper level and make connections to Quran & Sunnah.

Others may call it ‘conspiracy theories’ however it may well be conspiracy but if some one can relate or back their arguments with relevant facts i cant see a reason why its still a conspiracy

Firstly, from http://www.al-islam.org/encyclopedia/.al-Azhar Verdict on the Shia

What follows is the Fatwa (religious verdict/ruling) of one of the Sunni world’s most revered scholars, Shaikh Mahmood Shaltoot with regard to the Shia. Shaikh Shaltoot was the head of the renowned al-Azhar Theological school in Egypt, one of the main centers of Sunni scholarship in the world. It should be of interest to know that a few decades ago, a group of Sunni and Shia scholars formed a center at al-Azhar by the name of “Dar al-Taqreeb al-Madhahib al-Islamiyyah” which translates into “Center for bringing together the various Islamic schools of thought”. The aim of the effort, as the name of the center indicates, was to bridge the gap between the various schools of thought, and bring about a mutual respect, understanding and appreciation of each school’s contributions to the development of Islamic Jurisprudence, among the scholars of the different schools, so that they may in turn guide their followers toward the ultimate goal of unity, and of clinging to one rope, as the well-known Quranic verse, “Hold fast to the Rope of Allah (SWT) and do not diverge” clearly demands of Muslims.
This massive effort finally bore its major fruit when Shaikh Shaltoot made the declaration whose translation is appended below. It should be made unequivocally clear as well, that al-Azhar’s official position, vis a vis the propriety of following any of the Madhaahib, including the Shi’ite Imami school, has remained unchanged since Shaikh Shaltoot’s declaration.
Some people who follow pseudo-scholars in Hijaz may beg to differ; that notwithstanding, what you see below is the view held by the overwhelming majority of Sunni scholars, and not just those at al-Azhar. Let it be known to those who strive to divide us, that their efforts are but in vain.
For the readership’s reference the phrase “al-Shia al-Imamiyyah al-Ithna ‘Ashariyyah” means the Twelver Imami Shi’ite School of thought which comprises the overwhelming majority of Shi’ites today. The phrase “Twelver Shi’ites” is used interchangeably with “Ja’fari Shi’ites” and “Imami Shi’ites” in various literature. They are merely different names for the same school of thought.
“al-Shia al-Zaidiyyah” are a minority among the Shi’ites, concentrated mainly in Yemen located in the Eastern part of Arabian peninsula. For a more detailed description of the Zaidis vs. the Twelver Shi’ites, please refer to the book, “Shi’ite Islam” written by the great Shi’ite scholar, Allamah Tabataba’i, and translated by Seyyed Hossein Nasr, and published by the State University of New York Press (SUNY).
And as for Shaikh Shaltoot’s declaration …

Muawiyah Instituting the curse of Imam Ali (AS)
    ===============================================
Muawiyah not only fought Imam Ali, he cursed Imam Ali as well. Furthermore,
he did force/make everybody to curse Ali (AS). To prove it, we begin with
    Sahih Muslim:

         Narrated Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas:

Muawiyah, the son of Abu Sufyan, give order to Sa’d, and told him:
“What prevents you that you are refraining from cursing Abu Turab
(nickname of Ali)?” Sa’d replied: “Don’t you remember that the Prophet
said three things about (the virtue of) Ali? So I will never curse
         Ali.”

Sunni reference: Sahih Muslim, Chapter of Virtues of Companions, Section of
Virtues of Ali, Arabic, v4, p1871, Tradition #32.
In her letter, Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) wrote to
Muawiyah: “…You are cursing Allah (SWT) and His messenger on your minbar,
and that is because you are cursing Ali Ibn Abi Talib and whomever
loves him, and I am a witness that Allah (SWT) and His messengerloved him.”
But no one paid any attention to what she said.

    Sunni reference: al-Aqd al-Fareed, v2, p300

“That it was in the days of Bani Umayyah, more than seventy thousand
minbar (in mosques) upon which they cursed Ali Ibn Abi-Talib, in some
of what Muawiyah made a Sunnah for them.”

    Sunni references:
    - Rabeea’ al-Abrar, al-Zamakhshari
    - al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti

    AND THERES A LOT MORE…
Just sharing the info so dont take it personally
    Thanks,

    Head Office of al-Azhar University:
IN THE NAME OF Allah (SWT), THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFULText of the Verdict (Fatwa) Issued by His ExcellencyShaikh al-Akbar Mahmood Shaltoot,Head of the al-Azhar University,on Permissibility of Following “al-Shia al-Imamiyyah”School of Thought

His Excellency was asked:

Some believe that, for a Muslim to have religiously correct worship and dealing, it is necessary to follow one of the four known schools of thought, whereas, “al-Shia al-Imamiyyah” school of thought is not one of them nor “al-Shia al-Zaidiyyah.” Do your Excellency agree with this opinion, and prohibit following “al-Shia al-Imamiyyah al-Ithna Ashariyyah” school of thought, for example?

His Excellency replied:

1) Islam does not require a Muslim to follow a particular Madh’hab (school of thought). Rather, we say: every Muslim has the right to follow one of the schools of thought which has been correctly narrated and its verdicts have been compiled in its books. And, everyone who is following such Madhahib [schools of thought] can transfer to another school, and there shall be no crime on him for doing so.

2) The Ja’fari school of thought, which is also known as “al-Shia al- Imamiyyah al-Ithna Ashariyyah” (i.e., The Twelver Imami Shi’ites) is a school of thought that is religiously correct to follow in worship as are other Sunni schools of thought.

Muslims must know this, and ought to refrain from unjust prejudice to any particular school of thought, since the religion of Allah (SWT) and His Divine Law (Shari’ah) was never restricted to a particular school of thought. Their jurists (Mujtahidoon) are accepted by Almighty Allah (SWT), and it is permissible to the “non-Mujtahid” to follow them and to accord with their teaching whether in worship (Ibadaat) or transactions (Mu’amilaat).

Signed,

Mahmood Shaltoot.

The above Fatwa was announced on July 6, 1959 from the Head of al-Azhar University, and was subsequently published in many publications in the middle east which include, but are not limited to:

al-Kifah newspaper (Lebanon), issue of July 8, 1959.

Assalam alaikum warahmatullah, dear brothers and sisters, my friend told me about the series the ‘arrivals’ and she said how it was ‘so scary’ and basically I could sense some hypnotic feeling to the all thing. We must remember that we have to stick to the Qu’ran and the hadiths of the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam, and that anything else is falshood. If you want to know about the great conspiracy of the kuffars go and read the hadiths and Qu’ran and not some doubtfull series that clearly at a lot of stages contradict what the Prophet told us. Some stuff is clearly evident like when they talk about the media controlling the people and the goldless world and goldless people leading it, but it offers no solution to it rather than just say ‘as long as you are good and believe in one god, no matter how you call it…you will be ‘saved’….which is untrue and very dangerous, wrong ‘Aqidah in itself.ALLAH clearly told us that he will NEVER accept anything else than Islam and if you do not say LA ILA IL ALLLAH MUHAMMAD RASOOLOOLAH, and in that believe that MUHAMMED is the last messenger of Allah (SWT) you will not enter paradise……so here you go….plus as a brother said ‘ it has haram music, very bad pictures and very weird doctrines…..

    Wa alaikum salaam brother.

I find it hard to believe that you would discredit the documentary without even watching it, as you admit yourself. You also condone the message that it's good for non-muslims to have their eyes opened by watching the series…shouldn't the muslim ummah also have their eyes opened.

Islam, in most cases, is not practised as it should be, mostly because of us following a westernised lifestyle. The Arrivals lifts the “veil” off our eyes (muslim & non-muslim) to show us that we claim to follow GOD, but we imitate the lifestyles of people who worship Satan.

I am all for constructive critism, but why throw the baby out with the bath water. You deem yourself as educated in Sunnah and Quran, and those who appreciate the series as uneducated. But yet you find it fitting to comment and critisise a documentary which, by your own admission, you have no knowledge of.

So with all respect my dear brother, it seems that you are the uneducated one with regards to this topic. May Allah (SWT) guide me and you to make a POSITIVE contribution in Islam.

Shukr to Allah (SWT) for opening our eyes with the The Arrivals through the means of Noreaga and company

hi … i would just like to say please watch it before you say these things about it . i watched it 3 times and i loved it there is no porn at all they are just showing what the masons are using to currupt people. the people who made it are trying as much as possible to get some common ground between all sects. and yes yazeed the son of moawia killed al hussain ibn ali radia Allah (SWT) anho that is history you can't deny it.You know what your problem is that you concentrate on stupid unimportant things but the main message was good and there are many things in it that are useful and with credibal profs . i honestly recomended it to all the people i know and i want my daughter to see it.and i am sunna and didn't see anything wrong with showing the 12 imams of shia.
