Norman Finkelstein is one of those brilliant professors who has always defended the Palestinians, despite the fact that he receives much criticism from Israeli lobbyists.

Yesterday he gave an interview on TV and explains that Israel had been planning these attacks for a long time with the aim of restoring the fear in the Arab world for Israel by inflicting huge casualties in Gaza.

He says that the war against Hezbullah needed avenging and their superiority restored because they felt they couldn’t use their full arsenal which contributed to their loss
