This is terrible, an awful error and a demonstration of how war brutalizes. However, another thing that should be taken from this is that the Israeli press chose to show the scandal, and it is a scandal, as it would be in any modern country. The broadcasters and press were not imprisoned for showing it, there were no death threats made (that we know of) for demeaning the name of Judaism or their country and the government was embarrassed, rather than proud of the behaviour. Israel does some terrible things and should be held to account for them. But their enemies are ignorant and superstitious and the ‘defenders’ of the Arabs are brain washed, violent thugs. I do not support the excesses of some zionists, such as Ariel Sharon and Netanyahu but they are the heads of state of a genuinely democratic country which lives under the rule of law. Stop the outrages but do not believe for a second that the end of Israel is beneficial to humanity. A small country of several million against nearly a billion (based on polls taken of the Islamic Ummah) hateful, cultists is always going to go too far in self-defence. Put yourself in their position. And any of this rubbish about ‘da jooz’ being the cause of everything evil in the world would be laughable if it wasn’t so evil itself.
