bsmlh My Umrah: 2 Highlights

My Umrah trip with my family was a beautiful experience, my children performed tawaaf around the beautiful Kaaba, drank from well of Zamzam and prayed Salah in Allah allah My Umrah: 2 Highlights ’s house. It was really nice having them there to experience it too. They are very young and asked amazing questions about Allah and His religion and along with the experience of being around so many different types of people, going to the mosque to pray 5 times a day really taught them a lot.

The highlight of my Umrah was my first glance of the Kaaba, it gets more and more beautiful every time I see it, it is magnetic, stunning and awe inspiring and I felt as though I had come home. It is place so steeped in history that wherever you look stories flash in front of you. You look one way and imagine Ibrahim (as) with his son Isma’il (as) building it, you look another and imagine Umar (ra) hiding behind the cloth of the Kaaba listening to the recitation of our beloved Prophet Muhammad saws My Umrah: 2 Highlights , you look at another place and imagine the Quraysh sitting and planning against the Prophet (saw) you look up and see the decendents of the birds that Allah allah My Umrah: 2 Highlights sent to destroy the army of the elephants, flying around the Kaaba. The stories of the Kaaba race back into your mind and it makes the experience so much richer for me.

If any of you go to Umrah or Hajj, read the seerah and learn the stories that happened in and around the Kaaba, when you arrive you will be transported back…

My other highlight in Mecca was seeing the very place were Ibrahim (as) was to sacrifice his son Ismail (as). I had no idea it was anywhere near Mecca so I was so happy to be able to see it. I learnt of the story of Abraham and his son from the Bible as a child, we had an illustrated Bible in my house and the picture of that special moment, on that particular mount had always stayed in my mind. Surprisingly, when I saw the real place where this event took place, it looked so similar, I was overjoyed.
