About us
As recent graduates ourselves working with some of the top city firms we know how difficult it can remain steadfast with your Deen while juggling responsibilities to this notion of a “Career”. Which is why we decided to set up Deen in the City; to serve as an open platform for professionals to voice their concerns at the current practices of modern business. What makes our seminar different from others is that we don’t wish to dwell into the technical aspects of the financial system – plenty of those around. Instead, we will primarily focus on the day-to-day issues that most of us face in the workplace as professional muslims, and the compromises that we sometimes feel we might have to make in order to fit in.
The Speakers
By the grace of Allah
, we have managed to secure some renowned speakers who regularly frequent the Islamic finance speaking circle. Not only do they posses knowledge of the Deen but are also highly accomplished practitioners with experience in the City. We hope they are able to impart some useful advice to the growing young Muslim professional population working in the accounting and banking sectors.
